IC Philanthropy

In 2009, IC Philanthropy was established by the IC Council to teach tennis to disadvantaged children. In some communities, the sport provides an alternative path from life on the streets and the dangers of drugs and crime.

Our programmes also support young people with disabilities to improve their physical and mental skills whilst enjoying the company of others.

Meet our IC Council Regional Representative for South America: Philippe Pinet, IC of Uruguay @philippe.pinet, who is also Vice-President of the IC of Uruguay, was raised in a family steeped in tennis history. He competed at top junior events, played on the ATP tour, represented Uruguay in Davis Cup and the Pan American Games, and later became a coach, club manager and pioneer of wheelchair tennis.
