IC Rod Laver Junior Challenge The IC Rod Laver Junior Challenge is open to all ICs, for two girls and two boys at the age of 16 and under, with an adult captain. In one calendar year, a regional event is played on each of the five continents and the winners of the regional events go through to play the Worldwide Finals the following year, together with the host country. Format: All juniors play both a singles and doubles match against other IC teams, with all matches counting towards one overall team result Host IC: Various (regional qualifiers and worldwide finals) Date: Regional qualifiers in 2026/early 2027 and worldwide finals in 2027 Location: Various. However, in order to maintain full global representation at The Rod Laver IC Junior Challenge Worldwide Finals, an alternative qualifying format has been devised. For 2026, qualification of the team is through the CAT Southern Africa Zonals where the winner and runner up of the U16 event are selected to represent the Africa region at the Worldwide Finals.
