March 2014 Thierry Grin: New President of IC Switzerland The General Assembly of IC Switzerland which was held March 1 in Biel, Switzerland chose its new President, Thierry Grin: former 1992 Davis Cup team member, who went through to the final with Jakob Hlasek and Marc Rosset against the USA and was a former pro on the ATP tour and has all the qualities required to pursue the work of his predecessor. Mr.Grin (left) and Mr.Buttkus (right) Jurgen Buttkus, who steps down after 22 years of commitment for IC Switzerland was named Honorary President for his dedication and enthusiasm as well as his engaging and long-term relations within the IC family. Michèle Miéville-Blondel, former national player and Swiss junior champion in the 80’s was elected Honorary Secretary. With a PR and Communication background in the non-profit field and with non-governmental organisations, she will also be in charge with the IC Council relations. Last but not least, Sandro Della Piana joins the Committee, bringing his long-time experience as former professional player in the 80's and as Head Coach of a tennis school near Lausanne.
