January 2012 Report 4 from the IC Junior Challenge World-wide Finals G'day from Australia, This is the fourth days report from the IC Junior Challenge world wide finals and things are still progressing well. Latest results are as follows: Argentina 4 Germany 2 South Africa 6 USA 0 India 5 Australia 1 This now leaves South Africa as the only unbeaten team and they play Germany on the last day. Germany lost narrowly to Argentina today. If South Africa win their final match they will be the champions and Argentina probably second. If Germany were to cause an upset and beat South Africa we could end up in a three way tie with mixed tie breaks to decide the overall result. We have now had our first mixed tie break to decide a result and in this the USA beat India to record their first win. Yesterday was also our Disability Clinic which all the juniors joined in and everyone appreciated. It was useful as an ice breaker for the juniors to play some fun tennis after all the competitive matches they have been playing. The disability athletes performed well and all of them said they had a great time. Pat Cash checkered head scarfs were given out to everyone by Tennis South Australia as you will probably see from the attached photographs. Kit Spencer The juniors and the disability athletes together Lynn Kiro from South Africa with a disability athlete. The disability athletes.
