January 2017 USA Wins the “Deltec” Bahamas IC Doubles Week Just like the previous event it came down to IC Bahamas and IC USA on the final fifth day to decide the 2017 Champions. Once again The USA proved the strongest team with a 4-1 Championship win with The Bahamas taking second place. In third place was Canada with Barbados in fourth place and The International team in fifth. The standard of tennis was high with five couples who had won USA National Mixed Doubles Titles in their age groups and three former Bahamas Davis Cup and Fed Cup players in the event. The IC spirit of “hands across the net, friendship across the ocean” was in good evidence at the event which is competitive IC tennis in winter sunshine with a good social element. The week finished with a great social evening for The “Deltec” Prize Presentation "Bahamian" dinner complete with rum punch on arrival at the historic Royal Nassau Sailing Club.
